How Do You Treat Foot Fractures?
Before creating a treatment plan, our team will perform an extensive evaluation of the foot and talk with you to learn more about how your injury may have occurred. Treatment for minor foot fractures typically involves rest, application of ice or cold compresses, and medication to help manage any discomfort. If the break occurred in one of your toes, we'll apply a splint to keep it still while the bone naturally heals. Extreme foot fractures may require pins or rods to hold the bone in place, which will have to be done with surgery. What Are the Symptoms of A Foot Fracture?
