A Chicago native, Dr. Michael Smith brings more than 20 years of podiatric experience to our team at Agape Foot Care. Dr. Smith specializes in all aspects of podiatry, but he places a special emphasis on diabetic and geriatric foot care for individuals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Dr. Smith earned his doctorate in podiatric medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences in Chicago, IL. After that, he finished a rotating podiatric and surgical residency at St. Mary of Nazareth Medical Center. During this time, he underwent training in wound care and diabetic foot care for high-risk patients.
Dr. Smith is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Smith specializes in working with geriatric patients and other groups who may be susceptible to foot wounds and infections. He also works with referring physicians to expand access to care and ensure timely treatment of foot and ankle conditions.
